The pre-filter works alongside the OEM fuel filter to provide the ultimate protection by filtering out larger particles and removing water, leaving your OEM filter to do the finer filtration which means it stays cleaner for longer. Designed to handle even the most extreme Australian conditions, the Direction-Plus Pre-Filter Kit FM606DPK can filter out dirt, rocks, fungus, rust, water and other contaminants with ease.
One common problem with using ultra low sulphur diesel (ULSD) fuel is that it has a tendency to emulsify (or suspend) water. Old technology such as sedimentors will remove whole water but struggle with removing emulsified water from ULSD; the Direction-Plus Pre-Filter Kit FM606DPK is specifically designed to filter out water emulsion into a clear water drainage bowl so you can easy identify water-contaminated fuel. By using the Direction-Plus Pre-Filter Kit FM606DPK, not only are you burning cleaner fuel, you are also protecting your engine from wear and tear, potentially saving you thousands in repair costs. In addition, this pre-filter does not have a filter by-pass valve which means you'll never have to worry about contaminated fuel reaching your fuel system, even if the filter is blocked.
